24 hour salad – Don’t worry you don’t need to be in the kitchen for 24 hours. It’s over night in the fridge recipe and that’s why it is called “24 hours salad.” It is very easy and delicious party food.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded lettuce (ice burg lettuce)

  • 1 small Red/yellow pepper

  • 1/4 cup green onion (diced)

  • 1/4 cup frozen peas (thawed)

  • 3 TBS black olives (sliced)

  • 1 small tomato (diced)

  • 3 strips bacon (cooked and diced)

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese

  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise

  • 1 TBS Honey

  • Salt Pepper

Directions

  • Wash and dice all vegetables. Thaw out frozen peas.
  • Cook bacon over med heat and make it crispy. Dice.
  • Mix mayonnaise and honey in a small bowl and set aside.
  • In a large serving bowl, place lettuce. Then add tomato, yellow pepper, and green peas.
  • Then spread mayonnaise mixture.
  • Spread shredded cheese on top. Garnish with olives, green onion and bacon.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and keep in the fridge over night. Next day it is ready.

Notes

  • You can purchase regular ice burg lettuce and cut.
  • You can use sugar instead of honey. Use 1 tsp.
