Sweet Beef Takuwan Rice

It’s super easy mixed rice recipe with vinegared rice, sweet soy sauce beef and yellow pickled radish.  Shiso and sesame seeds add some great taste.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound ground beef 100g

  • 1 TBS Soy sauce

  • 1 TBS Mirin (sweet sake)

  • 1 TBS white sesame seeds

  • 2 cups cooked white rice

  • 1 TBS Japanese sushi vinegar

  • 1/2 cup diced yellow Japanese daikon pickles (takuwan)

  • 1/4 cup Japanese shiso leaves (diced)

Directions

  • Heat medium frying pan and cook ground beef until done.
  • Add mirin, soy sauce, and sesame seeds. Mix well. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, put cooked rice (warm) and add sushi vinegar. Mix well.
  • Add diced takuwan and shiso leaves and beef in the rice bowl and mix.
