Warm caramelized apples with creamy vanilla ice cream
Ingredients
1 Apple
1TBSUnsalted Butter
2TBSBrandy or Rum
1tspBrown sugar (or honey)
Cinnamon
2scoop Ice cream
Directions
Slice the apple about 1/3 inch thick. Soak in salted water for a few min. Pat dry.
Heat a flying pan, add butter and sauté apple wedges until tender.
When apple wedges are done, add brown sugar, cinnamon, and rum or brandy. Cook about 2 min.
In a bowl, serve ice cream and put the hot apple sauce on top.
Notes
Use crisp and tart apples. You can substitute brown sugar with maple syrup or honey.
