Americans like apple pies. I mean everyone loves apple pies. It takes time to make one but this recipe is quick and tasty.
Apple Pie ala Mode

This recipe uses frozen pie sheet (shell).
Ingredients
1largeapple (sliced)
2TBSHoney or sugar
1TBSunsalted butter
1/4tspcinnamon
1tsplemon juice
2 frozen pie shells
2scoopsvanilla ice cream
Directions
Preheat oven for 400 F degree.
Peel apple skin and slice it about 1/2 inch thickness. Soak in salted water for 10 min. Drain.
Place apple slices in a heavy pot, add butter and honey (sugar) and cook until tender.
When done, add cinnamon and lemon juice. Set aside.
When oven is ready, place pie shells and bake until golden brown (about 20 to 30 min). Cool it. (If you like your pie shell golden brown, baste some egg wash when you bake.)
On a plate, put the pie shell, put apples inside (or side) and ice cream.
Notes
If you like hot pie shell, reheat in a toaster oven.
