I learned this recipe when I lived in Italy. It is simple recipe but it reminds me of “Italian mama’s taste.” The main ingredients are beef, a can of tomatoes and red wine. When you have stew beef, try this recipe and you will love it.

Ingredients
1poundStew meat (ramp block)
1TBSOlive oil
1largeCan of tomato
1cupred wine
Salt pepper
1tspflour
1TBSButter
Pasta (for sides)
Directions
Cut the beef in half (or stew meat size if you like smaller), salt pepper generously and coat the beef in flour.
Heat a large (heavy) pan on high heat, put olive oil and brown the surface of beef quickly.
When the surface of the beef is cooked, add wine and the can of tomato. Mix well.
Bring it to a boil and simmer for 2 hours until tender. (You can cook more than 2 hours)
Cook pasta of your choice and eat with the braised beef.
Add sour cream or ricotta cheese if you like (It's good!).
