Nectarine Rum Cream

This recipe is a nectarine version of sautéed apple ice cream, but nectarine cooks faster than apple.

It is a pretty dish to close your dinner –  satisfying dessert with creamy vanilla ice cream topped with warm sautéed nectarine with tasty rum .

Ingredients

  • 1 large Nectarine (ripe)

  • 1 TBS Butter (unsalted)

  • 1 tsp Brown sugar

  • 1 TBS Rum

  • 2 scoops Vanilla ice cream

Directions

  • Peel nectarine skin and cut 1/2 inch slices.
  • Heat small frying pan on med heat, add butter and sauté nectarine slices.
  • When nectarine slices are slightly brown both sides, add brown sugar and rum. Cook about 2 mins.
  • Put vanilla ice cream in small plates or bowls, add nectarine and juice over the top.

Notes

  • This is a variation of apple sauté vanilla ice cream recipe. For apple recipe, cook time is longer. You can also use peaches.
