Poor man's Beef Stroganoff

When I make beef stroganoff, I chose pretty good cut of beef. Sometimes I use tenderloin meat and my husband gives me stink eye.

Recently food price is going up, so this is my cheaper version of beef stroganoff.

Ground beef stroganoff goes very well with most staples – rice, potatoes, pasta. Here, I used egg noodles, American pasta that looks a little like short tagliatelle.  The key thing is to caramelize mushrooms.  But even if you fail, cream sauce and chicken stock will save this recipe. Enjoy.
